Day 1
Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga.
A trip from Ouarzazate to Merzouga is an ideal choice to discover the splendors of the Sahara desert. We will pick you from your hotel and drive on the road of “A thousand Kasbahs” to the southeastern part of Morocco. Along the way, you will pass by Skoura Oasis towards the Rose Valley, known for wide cultivation of Roses, and then on to Dades. The latter is a fascinating verdant valley, offering a series of small villages alongside the road. Not far away from Dades, you will reach Todra Gorges where you will have time to walk in its 300-meter canyon walls. With freshwater springing from a rocky mountain and run down a green valley, Todra presents an arresting spectacle.
Following lunch, you will proceed via Arfoud, Morocco’s town of fossils, to finally arrive in Merzouga where your real adventure begins. You will mount camels across the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and stop to admire the wondrous sunset before getting to a camp in the heart of the desert. At night, there will be a drum show around campfire played by some local guys. With no lights around, you will enjoy looking at the starry sky above.

Day 2
Merzouga - Draa Valley – Ouarzazate.
You will have to get up early in order not to miss the beautiful view of sunrise. You will eat a delicious breakfast and ride back camels to the village of Merzouga where your car will be waiting. On the way, you will pass by Rissani ‘a marketplace’ which is situated in Tafilalet, Morocco’s largest palm grove. You will also drive on a vast desert full of rocks and acacia trees before you get to Draa Valley and cross its river, the longest in the country. In the afternoon, you will take the dramatic road of the Anti-Atlas Mountains and arrive is Ouarzazate before sunset.
